At Sitelucent, it is our mission to bring highly relevant and actionable insights about the Digital Shelf to our customers, who’re typically product manufacturers and/or brand owners selling their (consumer) products through a large number of online sales channels across many geographies. The insights we provide, help our customers to get and keep complete transparency on their products’ online presence and gives them the means to continuously optimize and realize increasingly better buying experiences for end-consumers.

To do that, we collect, process and analyze large amounts of data on a daily basis, for which guaranteeing the stability, quality and reliability is pivotal to our customers’ success, and therefore to ours.

About the role

As our Manager of Data Collection and Engineering, you will be leading all our efforts to make sure we achieve that goal. Together with your team, you’ll be at the center of our operation and be instrumental towards delighting our customers and ensuring long-lasting and mutually-beneficial relationships with them.

As a person, you are naturally curious, seek deep understanding of the (potential) issues our customers face, are creative in finding solutions, build upon strong technical foundation and work vigorously with your team towards achieving the before mentioned goal. You demonstrate and expect the highest quality standards, think critically and are not afraid to challenge yourself, your team and the broader organization, which you do with compelling arguments, determination and respect for people and their opinions, and always with the customer and goals in mind.

Characteristics that set you apart:

You have deep technical understanding of IT infrastructures related to Cloud Computing and processes related to Data Collection (preferably including web scraping), ETL and engineering.
You are a critical thinker and demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
You see seek to deeply understand root causes and exhibit creativity in finding solutions and getting them implemented.
You have and expect the highest quality standards
A strong background in SQL, with experience with PHP, Python and/or NodeJS being a string pre.
You have a deep understanding of the Web and its (front-end) technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript, preferably in an e-commerce setting.
You can mentor, coach, develop and lead a team of technical specialists
