As Sales Developer at SiteLucent, you love to come up with intelligent ways of doing things faster and better and you can handle the uncertainties of bringing a software solution to market. In this role, you will directly impact the further growth and impact of SiteLucent. We will build on your experience and ideas while trusting you to take ownership of your responsibilities. You will be responsible for building relationships, mainly with new clients, identifying sales opportunities, and driving revenue growth in an international setting.

You will be part of the business development team and report to the Head of Business Development. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be highly organized and detail-oriented. 

Job description

New business development 

  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities through various channels;
  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations to prospects;
  • Conduct high-level conversations with prospects to understand their business challenges and needs, taking ownership of the end-to-end deal process;
  • Continuously feed our CRM (HubSpot) with the latest updates on account progress and safeguard the adoption of optimal CRM hygiene standards;
  • Act as (co-)host or thought leader during webinars, demo sessions, training sessions organized by our Marketing team;
  • Attending and representing SiteLucent at relevant networking events, exhibitions and trade fairs;
  • Suggest improvement plans to make our sales outreach more effective. 

Job requirements

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have first notions of Software as a Service (SaaS) as a business model or other technological solutions, and have previous experience in a similar business development or sales-related role. You understand how SaaS sales work - you know how to find the right angle by listening to the prospect, using the right approach for the industry, triggering their attention and you like working together with a team to close the deal. In order to contribute to this role, you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar business development role, preferably in a SaaS environment;
  • Knowledge of digital shelf analytics and the B2B SaaS industry;
  • Ability to lead effective conversations with C-level stakeholders (strategic), as well as with project leads (operational/tactical);
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • English (and Dutch) language skills: fluent in both speaking and writing;
  • Experience with using CRM systems (we use Hubspot) to monitor progress and activity;
  • Providing 2 references.

Skills that set you apart

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have:

  • Other language skills besides English;
  • Previous experience in selling SaaS to retail companies (manufacturers, brands, retailers).
