An interview with Parker, Sitelucent’s native AI assistant

“Think of me as the colleague who already read every report before the meeting.”

Parker, welcome. You just started. How are you settling in?

Fast. Which I guess is kind of my thing. But honestly, I already feel at home. The Sitelucent platform is where I was born, so it’s not like I had to learn the office culture. I know the data, I know the retailers, I know the dashboards. What I’m still learning is the people, what they need, how they work, which questions keep them up at night.

What exactly is your job?

Right now? Answering questions. You ask me something about your digital shelf, I give you the answer. Not a data table. Not a “here are 15 dashboards you could check.” An actual answer, with context. Your account, your retailers, your data. In seconds.

Think of me as the colleague who already read every report before the meeting. You walk in with a question, I have the answer ready. With context. With the numbers that matter.

So you’re a search bar with personality?

Ha. I get that a lot. No. A search bar waits for the right query. I understand the wrong one. Ask me a vague question and I’ll still know what you mean, because I know your shelf. I know which retailers you’re tracking. I know what role you have. I don’t need a briefing before every conversation.

That’s what native means. I wasn’t bolted onto this platform. I grew up in it.

Prove it. Give us three questions we can ask you right now.

Gladly.

“Parker, which of my retailers have zero active products?”, You’d be surprised how often the answer isn’t zero. That’s coverage you’re missing without knowing it.

“Parker, show me everything about this product, tags, attributes, the lot.”, No clicking through screens. One question, full picture, ready to download.

“Parker, break down my retailers by country and show me where utilization is lowest.”, Strategic overview in seconds. The kind of homework that used to take half a morning.

Three questions. Three answers in seconds. And that’s just where I am today.

Where is this heading?

That’s the exciting part. Right now, you come to me with questions. Soon, I’ll come to you with answers.

Picture this: you open the platform on Monday morning and I’ve already done the rounds. Checked every shelf, every retailer, overnight. I tell you: “Three things happened this weekend that need your attention. Here they are, ranked by impact. Here’s what I’d look at first.”

That’s the kind of trusted advisor I’m becoming. The colleague who not only did the homework, but already highlighted the important parts and put sticky notes on the pages you need to read first.

And after that? I want to be the one you turn to for strategic decisions. “Parker, where am I losing revenue that I could recover this quarter?” Based on your data, your shelf, your context. Not a guess. An informed perspective.

That sounds like a long road.

It’s not. The platform is already my domain, I have access to the data, the structure, the context. Every release, I get new skills. Every question clients ask me, I learn what matters. The roadmap from assistant to trusted strategic advisor isn’t years. It’s releases. And we ship fast.

Any message for the teams who’ll be working with you?

Ask me anything. And I mean that. If I can answer it, I will. If I can’t yet, I want to know, because that’s how I learn what to prioritise next. The more you use me, the better I get. For you and for everyone.

Last question. Why Parker?

He smiles. Peter Parker. A spider at the centre of its web, feeling every vibration. Connected to everything. Always watching. Catching what others miss. Plus, he’s friendly. I liked that part too. 🤘
